A Day Off!!

Good Morning Family!!

Oh I just need a break or a day off! Have you ever said or thought this? I know I have a lot recently. Our schedules have been so packed and hectic it was becoming overwhelming. So my husband and I decided to take a day with our girls and spend it at the lake yesterday. We had so much fun!! We even came home and spent the evening watching a movie. This was time well spent!

I just realized this morning how saying I need a day off can be a negative phrase because it implies a shirking of responsibilities or selfishness. Now that isn't the way it should be. Taking a day off should be a time to rest, re-invest, rejuvenate, or prioritize what God has given you or laid on your heart. Our days should have a flow even when they are hectic there should be a peace in your heart. When you notice something is off with your peace, your families peace, ministries peace, or works peace it is time to plan a day off to rest.

We are to live an abundant life!! Not a drained, overwhelmed life. God gave us all we need and sometimes we lose our focus, but how we regain our focus is the key. When you focus on all the things we are wishing to go our way but ignoring the path God is lead us to it causes lack of peace. All honesty here the past few weeks I have allow my peace to be shaken, doors that where closed(by God) I was trying to open instead of resting in where He was leading. After a few conversations with my husband and trusted friends, oh and a day off, I am refocused.

The future is bright and God is doing amazing things!!

I am excited to share them all with you as the happen!!
