Good morning!
Yesterday morning I was checking my emails and reading a devotional email from a friend. In the email was the Bible verse:
Matthew 25:23 NKJV
"His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.
Matthew 25:23 Passion
"Commending his servant , the mater replied, 'You have done well, and proven yourself to be loyal and trustworthy servant. Because you were faithful to manage a small sum, now I will put you in charge of much more. You will experience the delight of your master, who will say to you, "Come celebrate with me!"'
What does it mean to you to be faithful? In this verse being faithful is referring to the talents (money) the master entrusted to the servant. What do you have that God has given you? Everything right! God has entrusted us with all we have our family, friends, homes, bodies, finances, and jobs. In what way can you steward these things better everyday? Sometimes we loose focus when reading this stories and think that we have to wait for that one item to steward well then we will be trusted with more, in reality if we are stewarding what God has already given us we are doing well. An example of being faithful with what we have is our bodies when we eat healthy, exercise, and cleanse our body we are being faithful. Another example would be if you have flower beds or a garden and you don't pull the weeds, work the ground, or plant the seeds you will not have anything at harvest, but when you do care for them the harvest is fruitful.
Lord help us to remember all good things are gifts from You. Help us to be faithful and care for all that You have blessed us with in Jesus name. Amen
