Hiccup or Road Block!

Good morning!

As I am sitting here drinking my morning coffee I was thinking about our flowerbeds. I got 2 of them planted and mulched the other day, but I took out the brick border because I was not a fan of how it looked. Now I must admit a few weeks ago when I was working on the border I got so frustrated because it was not turning out the way I wanted it too and I quit working on it, and let the bricks sit. I chose to let that frustration be a road block for a few weeks instead of seeing it as a brief hiccup. So a couple days before our mulch was to be delivered I was like shoot I need to get the flowerbed cleaned up and ready for mulching and planting. I still ended up removing part of the bricks the other day when I planted the flowers and mulched.

How often do we do this, turn a simple hiccup into a road block that we drive around for a while? I can't help but think of the New Testament and how the Apostles, Paul, and New Christians handled struggles, if they would have stopped and chosen the road blocks instead of pushing through the hiccups where would the Gospel of the Kingdom be? We are not made or meant to be constantly stopping at road blocks. We are to have faith that no matter the hiccup, with the circumstances around us, that God already made a way, "It Is Finished!!". Let's pull up our boot straps and press through the hiccups!! Nothing takes God by surprise, you are His masterpiece and He loves you so much!!!

Hebrews 12:1 NKJV

"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,"

Hebrews 12: 1 Passion Translation

"As for us, we have all of these great witnesses who encircle us like clouds. So we must let go of every wound that has pierced us and the sin we so easily fall into. Then we will be able to run life's marathon race with passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before us."

Dear Lord I pray Your strength, courage, and peace as we press through these days, weeks, months, and years ahead. We know that You are good and only want good for us. Help us to learn and carry on spreading Your Gospel in every area of our lives in Jesus name. Amen
