Good Morning Family!!
With Mother's Day in the United States approaching, I have decided to share about the mother's heart. Mothers just like fathers have their unique role that God made them for, and mothers are the only ones who can fulfill this role. A mother's role from the beginning was to be a help mate (Genesis 2:18), care (Proverbs 29:15), comfort (Isaiah 49: 15), guide/teach (Proverbs 1:8), and encourage (Proverbs 22:6). We could pick out some many amazing mothers throughout Scripture who did amazing things, but God made you special to do things the you way. I enjoying reading and learning about women in the Bible but we must be careful not to compare ourselves to them, but to use their stories as guide stones.
Quote from "The Proverbs 31 Woman Course"
" As we read verse 29, NKJV, “Many daughters have done well, But you excel them all.” So this got me thinking, first I thought of all the ladies I have looked up to and wondered how do I excel them? Second, I realized that I was comparing myself to them. Finally, I had this realization- since we are all Proverbs 31 women, all those ladies we look up to have excelled as well. Each generation of Proverbs 31 women leave a mark through their teaching, wisdom, and revelation that they have shared with us. In verse 30 it mentions how charm is deceitful (a fake you that you put on to fit in) and beauty (the mask you wear to get attention) is passing but the women who have gone before putting those things under their feet. Their example taught us a loving reverence of God and also encouraged us to step out in His confidence. You are beautiful and unique the way God made you! "
