So the other day I started a project of sorting our girls Legos!! So this was a daunting task! I honestly I could think of several other things I could having been doing verse sorting Legos, but our girls have been wanting mommy to help them rebuild some of their sets and I needed to make it easier to find the right pieces.
I did have help from my sister the one day. We listened to music, sang along with it, and had fun. The next two days I was starting to feel kinda blah and didn't want to finish the task. So I turned on my audio Bible and started listening. I normally do not listen to audio because I tend not to focus on what's being read, but I was reminded of Roman's 10: 17 "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." So even if I wasn't getting everything being said I knew it was ok, because God would bring out what I needed in that moment. Now all the Legos are sorted by color, special pieces, and in bags, next task sorting shades and sizes.
It took time, commitment, and patience to get this far. I am not saying it was easy and there were believe it or not some stressful moments, but by listening to His word and staying on task I am getting to my end goal. This was a good learn exercise for me because I normally want to rush through get the task at hand done and move on to the next thing, and when I hit a road block I tend to procrastinate and not finish. I realized how often we do that to God, when things don't go the way we want or how fast we want them to we just stop. Our girls want the sets built now but it will be so much easier when the pieces are organized and all the things that aren't Legos are gone. God knows our lives get hectic. We have struggles but remember that during those rough times is when things are being sorted. The garbage needs to go and the pieces organized so its easier to put things together.
Let's learn to embrace the small everyday task and see how God is working on our behalf. In the end our goal will be reached and it will be Amazing!! Granted my entire goal hasn't been reached with the Lego sorting yet but now that I have the main portion done it makes it easier to jump back in and do the rest. I will and do enjoy building the Legos with our girls and it is really fun for me. Seeing the finished product and the reaction of our girls is always precious!! My family even bought me my own Lego set for my birthday last week.
You are Amazing and Wonderfully Made!!! God Loves You!!! May You have an Awesome Day!! God bless!!!
