Good Morning Everyone!!!
Storms are amazing how they help things to grow by bringing rain, but storms also can bring lots of damage. Clouds tend to precede the storms; they are a sign let us now to be prepared for what coming, but there are times that we are not able to prepare for what is coming. After the clouds clear we see the damage caused and the required clean up needed. After the cleanup and the sun is shining, we see the benefits of the storm; the clear of old things and the new life give to the earth through water.
Earlier this year, in the middle of March we had a special event for the recovery community at our church, it was amazing and so many lives were touch! Sometimes after an event like this where God is moving and so much Kingdom is shared and given, we get challenges that follow that are trying to distract us from what God is doing.
In the 2 weeks following this event my family and I all got sick, had to reschedule our daughters' birthday party, we had two big windstorms go through (1 caused power to go out while we were sick, and the 2nd cause our shed to blow away and our small barn to blow over) and 3 of my ribs popped out of place from coughing. To say we were having a rough couple of weeks was an understatement, but God is so good we had family and friends step up to pray, help, and support us some of which were also going through things. In this we still saw God working and moving, my husband, our girls, and myself have been wanting to spend intentional quality family time, which has been hard to do with our work schedules, but we got to and made being sick fun!
